:( The most often heard catch phrase I hear about MV is that "you can never use too much-it's totally sheer and makes pores appear invisible." I've tried all the Mineral Veils and the only 2 that I like are Illuminating and one that I don't think is a single yet: Tinted Feather Light Mineral Veil. Reg. MV absolutely CAN build up and make me look cakey. Useless. I don't have big pores to begin with, so I don't need that benefit. Tinted MV looks "dirty" on me and has the same cakey look as reg. MV. I only use the Illuminating in the evening, or just when I want a bit of shimmer, but it is a tad too shimmery on its own IMO. I wanted to love MV, but can't. I would buy a VAT of the Tinted Feather Light MV if it were available. The others? Meh. The foundations alone is enough for me. Don't need the MV at all, really.

I love this mineral veil powder for the face. It doesn't leave a pasty or chalky look and it really does help the bareminerals foundation to not look too shiny. It is great with other brands as well as a finishing powder or touchup powder.

I had a small size of it and the only thing I would change about it is the packaging (it's hard to get the right amount with a face brush) but overall I LOVE THIS STUFF! I have very oily skin and it soaks up all of it and it doesn't cake and it makes my skin feel soft.

Packaging gets no points, but the powder more than makes up for it. I'm very oily and this drier textured powder makes my skin look phenomenal - matte (but not too matte) and even! Also, there is no added shimmer or shine like many other loose powders.

If the foundation did what it was supposed to do you wouldn't need this last application. It does make your skin appear less shiney though.

I've never been a loose powder person, but this stuff is so finely textured that I can barely qualify it as a powder. I use it just over my nose and forehead when I want a really polished look. So lovely.

Well, this has become a staple, I've realized that this keeps the oilies away the longest, I swear though, I have the oiliest skin in the whole world!! But this really helps, looks totally natural & doesn't clog pores. I'm not crazy about carrying around loose powder in my purse for touch-ups, but it's worth it. I just carry around a cute retractable powder brush for it. Give this a try if you're looking for a loose powder & nothing else makes your face matte for very long.

I know I'm in the minority on this one but I honestly didn't see anything from this product. Especially knowing how hyped it has been lately. A translucent, colorless powder. It didn't make anymore difference than say, Cornsilk Translucent powder. Sorry ladies, I'm not impressed.

This makes my pores just seem to totally disappear! You can't tell you have powder on and is great for EVER skin tone. Perfect for touch ups. I have purchased this many times over.

I use the mineral veil over my Bare Escentuals #2 powder foundation and it doesn't even feel like I have either on. I only feel refreshed and glowing when I touch up. Wonderful powder!!!

I wouldn't even call Mineral Veil a powder -- it is so fine that it's like a delicate dust! Very nice for just setting your face, finishing yourself off for a polished look, without any cakeyness. You won't look like you have 'powder' on.

I have converted from T leclerc loose to mineral veil. It is so finely milled it is dust-like. Makes your skin look as close to flawless as it can. I just ordered my 2nd jar. I use it up too fast, that is my only complaint.

I LOVE Mineral Veil! It is such an amazing product. After I've applied my Bare Escentuals foundation, I put this on and it seems to soften my skin (visually). It is spectacular how it almost makes my pores disappear! I'll use this product for the rest of my life!!

This is very finely milled powder that keeps the oilies away. I love that it is translucent and doesn't darken throughout the day.

Okay powder but there is nothing out of this world fabulous about it!! I hated the packaging ...my jar did not come with a sifter. It is not a bad product, but I won't buy this again.

I've never been a real big fan of loose powders and haven't used any in quite a few years. However, I do like the Mineral Veil. Not too heavy and gives a great finished look without looking overdone. Will probably buy this again if it ever runs out! Packaging has a bit to be desired as do all of their products.

This was the absolute best finisher for the Bare Escentuals foundation. It goes on so easy and makes my skin feel like velvet. It helps to minimize my pores and keeps the shine away all day. It also helps to set my makeup. I don't have to touch up at all during the day. It is the best!!!!!!

mineral veil is a translucent powder. it really makes the Bare Escentuals foundation look more natural and it also takes away shine. and the little jar comes with a ton, i won't run out for a while, but when i do, i'll definitely repurchase. love this!!

Wonderful! I dust it on before the mineral foundation and get a beautiful finish. Then dust over the top of all my makeup when done. Carry it with me during the day, and you can't tell how many "layers" go on...just whisper light! A++++

Absolutely PERFECT. I use this as a mattifier either by itself or underneath a bronzer.. and it keeps my tzone matte through the day! It's perfectly smooth, doesn't break me out, and feels wonderful on the skin. I will repurchase!

While I am not that crazy about the mineral foundation, I absolutely adore the mineral veil!!! It is hands down the best powder that I have ever used. It is very finely milled and is translucent on the skin. I agree with the other reviews this stuff is a winner! I highly recommend!!!

I love this...I totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. It makes my pores look smaller. My only gripe is the money for the size. I ordered it through QVC and hoped that it would be bigger alas, it wasn't. Overall, love this! It is very messy and, unfortunately, I did have to retouch but not as much as I normally do.

umm..yuck? Bare Escentuals just did not work for me. this was oh-so-obvious even with a tiny little bit. didn't control oil, looked gross. thumbs down. sorry..

This stuff is great. It lasts forever (unless you're clumsy like myself and spill most of it all over your bathroom) and is totally buildable without looking cakey. It leaves a lovely matte finish and a quick dusting whisks the oilies away. My only beef is the packaging. Can't Bare Escentuals come up with some sort of klutz proof container? Please?!!

I have switched to Aromaleigh minerals, which works much better with my skin. Bare Escentuals is too shiny for me, caused breakouts, and didn't match/work with my skintone.

I love this!!! I had been using the foundation for awhile and then I finally decided to give this a try. This powder works so beautifully with the foundation. It makes your skin look flawless! This powder just melts right into your skin; you can't even tell it's there. I just wish that it had a sifter on the top like the foundation!

This a great loose, translucent powder with a cornstarch base, which helps absorb oil and control shine. I enjoy using this, but not the foundation. Bare mineral foudations are the wrong color scheme for my skin (#2 is just TOO yellow for me) and for $35 a pop, I'm not not about to buy different colors to custom blend. The packaging of this powder is annoying & potentially messy (you can't just pop it into your purse for touchups - well, you could, but you'd need a separate mirror and brush). All in all I do like this product - it performs well. I use this at home & cover girl on the go.

A super basic corn starch based loose powder. It did well on cutting shine and controlling oil, but nothing special. It had a very fine texture and provided no coverage. If it were a larger container it would be worth the price, but for such a tiny container, it's just not worth it.

Mineral Veil is a translucent finely milled powder. It is compatible with most skintones. When paired with Bare minerals foundation, it cuts the shine and provides more of a matte finish. It can also be used over liquid foundations. An added bonus is that it can be layered without looking cakey. During the past two years of daily use, it looks like I've barely made a dent in it. I've suffered no breakouts or irritation from using this product. My only disappointment has to do with its packaging. Also, touching up can be quite a pain if you have to lug around a bulky jar and separate brush.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I HATED this powder. It does have a nice, dry silky texture and is very matte and translucent but it broke me out horribly. In fact, no product has caused me to break out worse than this one. I'm not sure which ingredient is the culprit and frankly I don't care. Also, I think loose powder is a pain in the butt :p

I have been using Almay Luxury Loose Powder for the past year and wanted to try something else so I figure I'd try the mineral veil. I don't know what it is about this stuff, but it makes my skin look really nice & glowy (better than the Almay)- not dry/cakey.

This is just ok. It does reduce shine nicely, but I often forget I have it because it's nothing special. Also, very expensive for the TINY jar it comes in.

This is a staple for me, i use it every day! i love this stuff..it keeps any shine away for practically the whole day. It's truly colorless on, so i don't look like a ghost face, even w/my olive skin. It really blurs out any imperfections..and the best part-NO BREAKOUTS!! The only thing is the packaging, so i just use a sifter jar i picked up at sephora..that and my fluffy sk powder brush, and i'm good to go!

I absolutely love this product. It's amazing - you only need to apply a little amount and it does so much work! :) It helps set my makeup, gives me this kind of glow-y, soft look and really battles my oilies (which is a *huge* problem for me). I put mineral veil to the test today - I left my pressed powder in my car so am unable to touch up and blot shine. It's been 4 hours and I just went in the bathroom here at work and have no shine!! Still! Mind you - I have to powder several times a day as I can't stand any kind of shine. And right now, I do not need to powder. I can't believe it - this has never, ever happened. This is an incredible product - this is going to become a staple product forever. Cannot rave enough about it!

A great finishing powder, gives a soft, matte finish. I only use a very small amount on my Kabuki brush. A little goes a long way.

I am loving this!!! I know that it seems impossible for a powder to give a demi-matte, glowy finish. This does though! It hides my pores too and lasts all day. Love it! I alternate between this and Becca, using Mineral Veil when I want more coverage that is still natural looking.

I feel left out! This product definitely wasn't the amazing product everyone boasts about here in my experience. It is just a light weight powder. I didn't find it to be exceptional. I will say it doesn't clog pores, always a plus in my book, but as far as a veil, it's not even close.

I thought it would be impossible to find a powder that was too matte for my skin, but I was wrong. I don't know if I was applying this incorrectly, but after putting this on my skin I felt like the life was being sucked out of it. Definitely thumbs down for me.

I was a bit sad that this powder didn't work as well as I had expected. To me, it felt like any other powder and I noticed that it didn't help control my oily/combo skin as well as my MAC. Very disappointed.

LOVE this product. Finally a powder that isn't like any other. I use this under the Bare Escentuals foundation and then over it. I also use it with other foundations and it works great. My skin looks and feels better, less breakouts. I'll try other powders to test, but will never toss this away.

Like everything from this line, it definitely takes a light application to achieve wonderful results. That being said, I find mineral veil one of the best powders I've used. It makes my pores appear smaller and just completes the overall finish of my skin without caking or settling into the fine lines.

When you use this correctly (light hand, swirl~tap~buff) this works soo well! It makes my skin look so soft and pretty, just like in candlelight and it makes those huge pores on my nose disappear. This eliminates my shine and is great for toning down 'mistakes' with blush and bronzer. I loooove it!

I love Translucent powders like mineral veil, it goes on light, appears matte, and stays well with some touch ups (as it doesn't control oil - nor is it supposed to). I love that mineral veil can go over ANY type of foundation and look great. What I didn't prefer was the open pot, so the new sifter pot has been a dream!! This did not even compare to anything else I have tried.

I love, love, love Mineral Veil. I asked for this product as a gift for Christmas and have been using it since then. It really does make an amazing difference in the appearance of my skin. I use it over my Clinique SuperBalanced and Clinque Transparency 3, and also whatever blush I choose to wear. It is the last step before I walk out the door. It does not control my oily breakthrough all day, I do have to reapply, but that is a normal thing for me, so I don't mind, it does not cake up and settle into my large poors like putting layer over layer of powder would. I will be purchacing this again, from QVC. If you know you like it don't get scammed into paying ebay's overpriced auctions. I have never seen this product go for less or right on the selling price of QVC. Great product.

Great lightweight silky pore-minimizing loose powder. Sets the mineral foundation nicely. Smooth light silky feel on the skin; lovely matte finish. A great powder; especially on top of the minerals foundation. Will definitely buy again.

Ok let me just say this is one amazing product...think airbrush in a jar. I put this on under my makeup to control oil and then over my makeup. The end result is an almost airbrushed look. Can't say enough how great this product is. If you buy anything from the Bare Escentuals line, buy this product.

I absolutely love this product. I actually have to use this because I hate the way the Bare Escentuals foundation feels on my face. This makes your face feel soft and give it a nice finished look. This stuff lasts a long time as well. I got my third shipment and I'm still on my first. I give it another month before I'll finish it.

I like this for cutting shine and it gives a poreless finish. It is better than many of the more expensive powders that I have tried and the ingredients are non-objectionable, too. This is a true translucent powder, too. I took off a lipstick for its random availability and the fact bare minerals has various sizes of this that are all within a few dollars in price...that seems odd to me.

I love this product and feel my makeup is not complete until this product is over it!! I have been using this since Christmas and cannot beleive I waited for so long before trying it. The texture of this product is so amazing, it is so finely milled, so soft!! I use it with the brush bare minerals recommends and the results are nothing less than perfect. I have also found that appling this before your baer minerals foundation helps cut down on reapplication later in the day. I am a PPP with cool undertones, but I really don't think it matters because my friend who is Dark Skin African American uses it too and it looks wonderful for her too. What a great product and for the price, it really does last along time. I have not even used a whole tub since Christmas.

A great powder- it claims one colour suits all...not convinced this is true but its an OK color for me. Gives a lovely matte finish and doesn't look too heavy or cakey.

Great product. A nice translucent powder that helps my oily skin look more matte. Gives my face a nice finish over the BE foundation or on just skin alone. Also good for my skin since it doesn't aggravate acne or cause it.
